Does Contact Solution brand matter?

Actually the brand of solution does not matter too much. Almost all of them own the ability to get rid of the protein on the surface of the contact lenses. In fact, good solution should be good at killing bacteria and keeping moist in your eyes as well. By the way, healthy habit of using contacts is required.

Can I use biotrue multi purpose solution as eye drops?

Yes you can. My doctor gave me the smaller sized travel bottle to use as eye drops though it is rarely needed with this solution. If you do experience excessive dryness you may need to see your doctor. I have used it as one when i didn’t have any other option.

Is biotrue safe to put in eyes?

ABiotrue is indicated as a rub regimen. QCan I use Biotrue directly in my eye to rewet contact lenses? AYes, Biotrue is indicated for soft contact lenses including silicone hydrogel lenses.

How do you use biotrue solution?


  1. Place at least 3 drops of Biotrue multi-purpose solution on each side of lens surface and gently rub for 20 seconds.
  2. Thoroughly rinse each side of the lens for 5 seconds with Biotrue multi-purpose solution.
  3. Place cleaned contact lenses in the lens case and fill with fresh Biotrue multi-purpose solution.

Can you make your own saline solution?

You can buy saline nose drops at a pharmacy, or you can make your own saline solution: Add 1 cup (240 mL) distilled water to a clean container. If you use tap water, boil it first to sterilize it, and then let it cool until it is lukewarm. Add 0.5 tsp (2.5 g) salt to the water.
